Free Online Livestream Event TSUBURAYA CONVENTION 2021 SPECIAL PROGRAM Announced for December 13th, 2021
A free online livestream event “TSUBURAYA CONVENTION 2021 SPECIAL PROGRAM” will be held on December 13th, 2021 starting at 5:30 PM (Japan Standard Time).
The event, dubbed “TSUBURAYA CONVENTION” (or “TSUBUCON”), is the largest celebration in Tsuburaya history and beginning with the first event (in 2019) features a grand first unveiling of many projects in its opening ceremony. This event will showcase a lineup of several works that will be released from 2022 onwards; a lineup that represents Tsuburaya’s vision for the future. There will also be exciting guest appearances, so stay tuned for the details which will be announced soon.
As was announced at the opening of the first TSUBUCON, the event is planned to be held once every two years, and the second event was to be held this Fall. However, due to the corona pandemic it was decided to postpone the live in-person event. Yet precisely because of the times we are in, Tsuburaya Productions decided to create a special platform on which to share the future of Tsuburaya Productions with all our fans, and so the entire company joined together to begin making this idea a reality.
This year’s “TSUBURAYA CONVENTION 2021 SPECIAL PROGRAM” will be available as an online livestream event for your viewing please over on the ULTRAMAN CONNECTION platform. We look forward to seeing you there!(*It is not accessible from Japan and China.)
TSUBURAYA CONVENTION (TSUBUCON) Details
At the 2019 event, each facility of the Tokyo Dome City was repurposed into a stage for the first TSUBUCON. Awash in enthusiasm and excitement, the largest celebration in Tsuburaya history ended on a high-note with the passion of fans, cast members, characters, and staff members coming together as one.
This is a kind of special event for fans to connect with the cast and staff. With many fan attendees, the events feature a jam-packed program of stage performances, concerts, talk shows, celebrations, and goods exhibitions. The program is divided into the themes “Story”, “Greetings” “Culture” and “Collections” to showcase the timeline of Tsuburaya’s past, present, and future.
