On November 25th, at the Opening Ceremony of Tsuburaya Convention 2023, held in Tokyo Dome City, it was announced by lead actor Tomoya Warabino and main director Kiyotaka Taguchi, along with Ultraman Blazar himself, that Ultraman Blazar the Movie: Tokyo Kaiju Showdown will be released on February 23rd, 2024 (JST).

Ultraman Blazar, the Ultraman TV Series currently simul-casted in 6 major Asian territories in its local language as well as in English on the  Ultraman Official YouTube Channel and Ultraman Connection, is entering the final stages towards its climax in December.

Kiyotaka Taguchi, the main director of the TV series, once again takes his place in the director’s chair for this title.

Using his mastery of grand, detailed kaiju tokusatsu scenes, he creates a visually epic action film packed with the exploits of Captain Gento Hiruma (portrayed by Tomoya Warabino) and the other members of the Special Kaiju Reaction Detachment (SKaRD).

The strongest foe yet in the series,  Gongilgan, the Demonic Carcass, makes its appearance in this film!

Ultraman Blazar and SKaRD clash with this kaiju in a decisive battle in none other than the capital of Japan—Tokyo!

Featuring the symbol of Tokyo—the National Diet Building—recreated in incredible detail, as well as masterful visual effects, this climactic tokusatsu battle scene will leave your heart pounding.

Chock-full of grand adventure, this film is sure to be a hit with everyone from children to tokusatsu fans when it blazes across movie theater screens!

<Synopsis>

A wave of kaiju emerges from an industrial zone, prompting Capitan Gento and the Special Kaiju Reaction Detachment (SKaRD) to engage in the relentless battle. Yet despite their efforts, the endless kaiju attack continues. Suspecting a link to Necromass Co., an advanced chemical company that researches kaiju corcasses and owns factories in the industrial zone, SKaRD rushes to the company’s CEO and renowned chemist, Dr. Mabuse. 

At Necromass Co.’s research facility, Dr. Mabuse explains the development of the damudoxin, a substance on the brink of achieving immortality. Meanwhile, Alien Damuno, who claims themselves as the “ruler of the universe” appears! Chaos ensues when damudoxin leaks from the destroyed tanks, consuming samples of kaiju carcasses and giving rise to the giant Gongilgan, the Demonic Carcass. Set in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, Ultraman Blazar and SKaRD clash in a showdown against the giant kaiju!
